As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced IFS Pre-Sales Consultant to support market expansion across the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of IFS-driven business transformation.
Role Overview
The IFS Pre-Sales Consultant is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between the commercial and technical domains. You will work closely with the Business Development and Delivery teams to craft compelling value propositions, design solution architectures, and deliver impactful IFS demonstrations — guiding prospective clients from initial interest through to signed engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver tailored IFS Cloud and FSM demonstrations aligned to individual client business requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers throughout the full sales cycle — from qualification and discovery through to proposal and contract.
- Conduct structured discovery workshops to identify pain points, process gaps, and strategic objectives across prospect organizations.
- Produce high-quality bid responses, solution proposals, statements of work, and presentation materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and IT Directors.
- Support RFP and RFI responses with accurate technical and functional content.
- Contribute to pipeline qualification by applying a consultative, needs-led sales methodology.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to position Platned and IFS effectively against alternative solutions.
- Represent Platned at industry events, webinars, and through professional digital outreach.
- Liaise with the implementation team to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to project delivery, including accurate scoping and handover documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Proven track record in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or enterprise software sales role.
- Hands-on experience with IFS Cloud, IFS ERP, or IFS FSM — the ability to demo the product confidently is essential.
- Deep understanding of core business processes including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Asset Management, or Field Service.
- Consultative approach to selling — you listen, qualify, and tailor before you present.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written and spoken English; able to produce board-quality documents and deliver engaging presentations.
- Experience managing complex, long-cycle deals typically spanning 3 to 9 months.
- Organized and self-directed — you take ownership of your pipeline, your deadlines, and your outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Advantageous
- IFS certification or formal IFS training.
- Prior experience in industries served by IFS: manufacturing, defence, energy, utilities, healthcare, or field service.
- Established professional network within the IFS ecosystem or target verticals.
- Experience responding to public sector or enterprise procurement processes (RFP, ITT, OJEU).
- Track record of closing international deals or working across multi-territory engagements.
