Trainee Information Security Analyst (Sri Lanka)

Role Overview

We are on the lookout for an individual to join our team as a Trainee Information Security Analyst. This role involves monitoring security systems, leading security-related projects, conducting vulnerability assessments, maintaining security policies, and ensuring the overall posture of the company’s cloud resources and digital information.

Responsibilities

• Daily review security/incident reports generated from the security operations.
• Perform vulnerability assessments of internal and customer applications/ networks.
• Maintain the best security practices of company’s cloud resources
• Use data encryption and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential digital information.
• Perform risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper.
• Functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
• Use data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential digital information.
• Review violations of security policies and procedures and take necessary corrective and preventive actions.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in IT from a recognized university.
• Critical thinking skills, good knowledge of information security standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Competence to identify threat surface.
• Good knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Competence to identify the root cause of the issue by paying attention to details.
• Understanding of security practices of cloud service providers such as Azure and AWS.
